September.. where did you go?! I really don’t know where this year has gone but in the past 3 weeks I’ve booked 3 cruises and a trip to New York so grab a brew and settle in, we’re overdue for a catch up!

Where to start..
Well my lovelies, it’s been quite the busy time recently. It has been one of those months where it has been go go go and it’s been a lot. Despite the craziness, September has been a really good month.
It began with a trip down to London with my mum. We spent a night in a new hotel, had a gorgeous pre-theatre dinner and went to see The Lion King. We even got to sit front row which truly was incredible. If you fancy a read about where we stayed, you can take a look here.
If you have been following me for a while now, you know I am a little cruise obsessed. But, also a newbie when it comes to cruising. You can imagine I was delighted, when I was invited one weekend to visit Fred Olsens beautiful Borealis ship. The ship was docked in Liverpool and I got to go onboard for the day. I had a tour of the ship and everything it had to offer. The different cabins, the restaurants and all areas, it truly was incredible. I was also treated to a 3 course meal onboard which was so lovely. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to spend all weekends like this?!
My final busy weekend of September was a night out for a friends birthday. One too many cocktails meant I ended the night in bed, with a mcdonalds. In all honesty, I don’t think that is a bad ending? I do feel like I have been recovering since though. My hangovers seem to last a lot longer nowadays!
a month of planning
September also seemed to be a busy month of making future plans. Unexpected one’s as well. Early on in September, me and my friends jumped when Virgin Voyages announced some UK sailings next summer. We all met onboard Scarlet Lady back in 2021 and this seemed like a trip we had to do. In our usual style, we ended up booking 2 back to back cruises. Our first cruise is from Portsmouth to Amsterdam with an overnight stop there. Our second is Portsmouth to bruges and back again. I’m so excited to go back to where it all truly began. The bonus being we’ll get to spend 7 nights onboard.
Now, I did have an oops moment recently. One rainy september morning, i was all in my feels and aimlessly scrolling through my instagram highlights. I was reminiscing on all my trips, specifically my trip to New York. I don’t know about you but my feed has been FULL of people in New York at the moment. All in my feels, I messaged my friend Kelly to have a little moan that I was missing New York and she reminded me that I still had my BA Companion voucher to use. Of course, I ran straight to the BA website to look at reward flights and found some within dates that we could both do. Our hotel hunt began and we ended up finding an incredible deal. Within 24 hours, we had booked New York for 3 weeks later.. Oops!
were off to a good start
I can’t quite believe we are in October already. I know I said it earlier but I really do not know where this year has gone and the month is already off to a good start!
As always, me and my friends are forever looking at holidays and the different things we want to do and see. A few weeks ago we had a chat about possibly going away for New Year 2024/2025 but we had no idea what we wanted to do. Our ideas have spun over the last few weeks and we came up with the idea of celebrating New Year in either New York or Miami and then hopping on a cruise..
Well, we found the perfect cruise and just after New year we’ll be setting sail on a Celebrity Cruise around the Southern Caribbean. A dream come true. Not only will I be going to so many places I have never been, but I will also be getting to sail on another cruise liner which I am so excited about. I am just praying that Captain Kate is onboard. I’ve been obsessed with her since I started following her on TikTok.
looking forward to october
With so much planned for next year already, I haven’t spent that much time organising myself for October. My first trip of this month is to London. Myself and my friend Neil are having a little road trip down south and a night in one of my favourite hotels, The Cumberland. We have tickets to Madonna so so we’ll be spending the night dancing away. I am so looking forward to that but I still have no clue what to wear!
After London, I’m heading straight to New York and I truly cannot wait. So far, we haven’t planned much but we do have tickets to Summit One Vanderbilt booked, which is new for me. It looks so immersive and different to other viewing platforms. I just can’t wait to be back in the city.
October is going to be another busy month but one I am truly looking forward too! What have you got planned for October?
Thanks for the catch up my lovelies,
With Love,
Han xo
